Bolden, Jr. Administrator National Aeronautics and Space Administration Washington DC 20546-0001 Dear Administrator Bolden: I want to thank you for speaking with me today about the Santa Susana Field Laboratory Site (SSFL) and agreeing to attend a meeting that I will convene in my Washington D.C. office to discuss the protection of public health at this site. I also want to thank you for committing to me that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will take no further action on the issues that we discussed previously, so that the key agencies can engage in a constructive and open dialogue to resolve their differences in a way that benefits NASA, the State of California and, most importantly, the people in the community impacted by this site. As my staff has already communicated to your office, the meeting is being scheduled to occur as quickly as possible after the Senate’s Easter recess. The meeting will focus on bringing federal and state representatives together to discuss a coordinated plan to move the cleanup process at the site forward in a manner that protects public health. I look forward to talking with you again after the Congressional recess. Please feel free to contact me or Grant Cope (202-224-8832) at my office at any time with any questions. Sincerely, Barbara Boxer Chairman
